Each month, our Mission of the Month highlights a different veteran-supporting organization. All monetary donations and customer round-ups collected throughout the month are donated directly to the featured organization. Jessi and Brett's story began in the U.S. Navy, where they both served as aviation structural mechanics working on EA-18G Growlers on Whidbey Island, Washington. Jessi joined the Navy in 2012, and Brett followed in 2013. Somewhere between the hangar and the flight line, they found each other, and the rest is history. After their military service, they traded flight lines for family life and planted roots in Englewood, Florida, where they're raising their two daughters. As longtime thrift lovers with a passion for serving others, they founded Veteran Thrift with a simple goal: to create a welcoming place where affordable shopping, meaningful community connections, and support for local veterans all come together under one roof.

Travis DavisStore ManagerThe friendly face keeping things running smoothly
Travis is a proud U.S. Army veteran who served as a 12C Bridge Crewmember. Originally from West Virginia, Travis and his wife of 16 years have built a life here in Englewood with their two wonderful children. Their family fell in love with Englewood's small-town charm, friendly community, Florida wildlife, and of course, the beautiful Gulf beaches! Travis is grateful to be part of the Veteran Thrift team, where he can continue serving his fellow veterans and the Englewood community. He looks forward to meeting everyone who stops by the shop!
